Top seeds advance to 2nd round of Fenesta Open

Tennis New Delhi

NEW DELHI: Top seed Vaidehi Chaudhri and second seed Sai Samhita scored contrasting wins to move to the women's singles second round of the Fenesta Open national tennis championship, here on Wednesday.

Vaidehi played solid tennis from the baseline to win 6-2, 6-0 against Lakshmi Gowda while Samhita had to dig deep into her reserves to prevail 6-4, 6-3 against Vanshika Choudhary.
