The Georgia Bulldogs recently lost a commitment from five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, who is a member of the class of 2026.
Now, a new top contender has reportedly emerged. The Oregon Ducks are expected to be the top team in the race to land Curtis.
Curtis is ranked as the No. 4 recruit in the junior class. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound quarterback plays high school football for Nashville Christian Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.
The five-star is ranked as the No. 1 quarterback in the country, per 247Sports. Curtis is the top ranked recruit in Tennessee.
Georgia football has just two commitments in the class of 2026. The Bulldogs have a long way to go in the 2026 cycle and are primarily focused on the class of 2025 right now, but Georgia’s attention will turn to the 2026 cycle after early signing day.
In the 2025 cycle, Georgia did get a massive recruit win after the Bulldogs added a commitment from five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffin.
