It's official – Shawlands has been named one of the best places to live in the UK.
The south side area was ranked fifth in the prestigious Sunday Times Best Places to Live 2022 Scotland guide which described it as "both practical and cool”.
The newspaper said it was looking at schools, transport, broadband, culture, green spaces and the health of the high street when picking this year's winners. They particularly admired the area’s closeness to Pollok Park and the reopened Burrell Collection.
