With the Met Gala taking place tonight (Monday, May 1), we're taking a look back at some of the most memorable outfits from previous years.

The Gala, a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, sees some of the biggest names in fashion and entertainment step out dressed in their very best. Curated by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, each year follows a different theme.

Brits Dua Lipa and Michaela Cole will be co-chairing the 2023 Gala, alongside actress Penelope Cruz and sports star Roger Federer. This year's theme celebrates the life and work of late fashion designer Karl Lagerfield.
