The BBC releases the list of its highest paid stars as part of the corporation's annual report.
The name and pay of some stars earning more than £150,000 is disclosed by the BBC as part of its royal charter. Releasing the names is part of a current agreement with the government that ensures the corporation continues to receive the licence fee.
The list is required by the government and the salaries below were published last year. The list does not include all presenters as BBC Studios, the BBC's commercial arm, does not have to publish its own stars' salaries - as Yorkshire Live reports.
