With a constantly rising cost of living crisis in full effect across the United Kingdom, many residents who would usually be comfortable in their wages are feeling the squeeze.
As a result, people are looking for ways to stretch their money that little bit further - ditching eating out at a restaurant or ordering a tempting takeaway altogether to simply get by.
However, a popular mobile app is allowing less fussy eaters to still afford the same luxuries while actually saving on meals in the process.

Too Good To Go works in unison with a number of retailers, cafes and restaurants up and down the country - allowing customers to pick up end-of-the-day products for a fraction of their original prices. The app allows punters to enjoy a similar experience as those who can afford to spend frivolously without breaking the bank, while also reducing food waste across the United Kingdom.
And although the food is usually very close to expiry, hungry households can save on their afternoon meals or even freeze goods for a later date.
Across the North East, shops like Morrisons, Greggs, Costa Coffee and Subway frequently offer 'Magic Bags' - filled to the brim with stock that would otherwise be thrown away and go to waste. Those interested in grabbing one simply put an order in through the Too Good To Go app, before heading to the store at a specified collection slot to pick it up.
For those looking for hot meals, the app also offers them - with the likes of the Toby Carvery, Harvester and Farmhouse Inns all offering end of shift carveries for a severely reduced price.
For example, a mid-week carvery at Oak Tree Farm in Sunderland will usually set a customer back in the region of £7.79 - but if you order through Too Good To Go, you can grab one for £3.99.
The kicker of the app however, is that you don't know exactly what you will receive in your Magic Bag until you pick it up, and with limited slots available which usually go fast, there's no guarantee you'll be able to eat discounted food every day.
As well as this, sometimes the products on offer aren't available to collect during peak eating times. For example, if you wanted to pick up a carvery from Oak Tree Farm, you would have to wait until between 9pm and 9.30pm tonight to be able to.
Regardless, it's a small price to pay for those looking to save money - with many often flocking to social media to flaunt their bargains of the day from a local business or chain-restaurant.
