Tony Docherty is on the verge of becoming the new Scotland under-21s manager.
The former Dundee boss is in line for the post following the exit of ex-head coach Scot Gemmill earlier this summer. Gemmill had been in the position for almost a decade before he departed.
Docherty, who also managed Ross County and was Aberdeen assistant manager for a number of years, is believed to be closing in on the job and will have his own familiar No.2.
Steve Clarke's former assistant Steven Naismith is said to have agreed a deal with the Scottish FA to work alongside Docherty as his lieutenant.
