A new bar is offering the people of Bristol the chance to win 200 free cocktails to share. Tonight Josephine has launched a competition to offer one lucky winner and up to 50 friends the full VIP package on the bar's opening night.
The popular quirky bar chain already has three venues in London and one in Cardiff. It set its sights on Bristol earlier this year and announced it would be taking over the large basement site, with a 320-person capacity, at 28 Baldwin Street.
It will be the latest addition to the city centre's late-night bar scene, offering an extensive list of cocktails and themed events throughout the year. Now, the company is offering the chance to celebrate women in Bristol through a competition ahead of its launch on Friday, September 30.

"The people of Bristol will have a chance to nominate a bad ass woman in their life to become the newest Josephine," it said. Those making the nominations will have to fill out a form to say why this person deserves to take over the Bristol venue.
It continued: "Joséphine de Beauharnais, was a sassy hustler and her Bristol replacement will be none the less. Josephine loved women from all different walks of life and entries will be inclusive to all."
The winner will have the cocktail bar branded under their name, alongside new cocktail menus and an evening of VIP treatment for themselves and 50 friends and family. The prize promises 200 complimentary drinks for the full group, a lavish VIP booth, extravagant gifts and a group pass to one of Tonight Josephine’s Bottomless Brunch spots.
Regular party-goers of Bristol will also be able to attend the event happening over the launch weekend. Bookings can be made through the Tonight Josephine website, plus a free cocktail offering when signing up to the newsletter.
The new bar will mean investors Nightcap will have four sites across three of its brands in Bristol. This included The Cocktail Club on Corn Street and The Triangle and Blame Gloria on Small Street.
Guests must be available on September 30, 2022 and the prize is for a maximum of 50 guests. Guests will receive four free drinks each from the following options: menu cocktails, single spirit mixers, medium glasses of wine, bottled beer and glasses of Prosecco. The winner will also receive six standard brunch tickets for a date of their choice subject to availability - full terms and conditions are on the venue's website.
