Tommy Lonergan has returned to St Patrick’s Athletic after his promotion/relegation play-off heroics for UCD.
The 18-year-old spent last season with the Students and earlier this month scored the goal against Waterford that secured their top-flight status.
Lonergan, who scored 12 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions for UCD, has signed a multi-year contract with the Richmond Park side.
Meanwhile, Galway United have re-signed Conor McCormack ahead of their 2023 promotion push.
The 32-year-old captained the Tribesmen for the past two seasons.
“I’m absolutely delighted to have re-signed. I can’t wait to get going and I’m already looking forward to the season ahead,” he said.
