Tommy Fury says becoming a dad has changed his perspective on life, including his boxing career.
The 24-year-old younger brother of fellow boxer Tyson Fury welcomed his first child, a daughter called Bambi, with fiancée Molly-Mae Hague in January.
He has already beaten YouTube Jake Paul in the ring this year and will next square up against another YouTuber, KSI, on October 14 in Manchester.
Fury said that life since becoming a parent is “very different”, but says “everything’s changed for the better”.
Speaking in an interview with Sky News, he explained: “It really has changed me because after fights, I’ve gone from partying, having a few drinks with the boys, staying out till late, to going back home and tucking the baby in at bedtime.”
Before Bambi’s arrival, the former Love Island contestant said he “couldn’t be bothered” to face a hard day in the gym and would instead post a picture on Instagram when he didn’t feel like training anymore.”
He says Bambi has given him a new purpose, and is the reason he gets in the ring.
“It’s to make sure that she never struggles in life,” he added to the news outlet.
