Tommy Fury 'responds' to Jake Paul's Molly-Mae baby announcement as fans slam YouTuber

Tommy Fury has appeared to respond after Jake Paul announced his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague has given birth to their first child.

The 23-year-old boxer and former Love Island star vowed to "end" 26-year-old Jake's boxing career as he shared a statement confirming his match against the YouTuber.

Tommy and Jake are set to face of in the ring in Saudi Arabia on Sunday February 26, the former Love Island star's management confirmed in a press release shared today.

A statement in from Tommy read: "Jake Paul’s boxing career ends on February 26th and I can finally move on with mine. Every time I go out right now, everybody asks me about the Jake Paul fight.

"After this fight is done, everybody will be asking me how it felt to knock Jake Paul out. The world is about to see what happens when a proper boxer faces a YouTuber."

It added that Tommy will "get the job done" and predicts the match "won't be a long one".

"The way I see this fight, it’s as though I’m cruising down route 66 on my way to fighting for titles and belts and I need to stop off for a bit of fuel, get the job done and then we’re back on the road," Tommy said in the statement.

"It won’t be a long fight. I have been training hard and have the best team around me."

The statement also made reference to Jake's fighting talk as it read: "Jake Paul makes a lot of noise outside the ring but the only sound we are going to hear in the ring is him hitting the canvas".

The confirmation of the boxing match comes two fights were previously cancelled due to issues on Tommy's end.

Tommy's statement comes moments after Jake Paul confirmed Molly-Mae, 23, and Tommy had welcomed their first child together as he revealed the match.

"Tommy has no excuses now - Baby’s born," he wrote on Twitter.

"Money’s massive. Immigration no issue. Tyson promises he and Papa will make Tommy retire from boxing and change his last name if he can’t beat the YouTuber.

"Tomorrow I’m coming to London to look at all 3 Fury’s in the eye and shake on that promise."

Jake's tweet was soon slammed by fans, who pointed out that Molly-Mae and Tommy were yet to confirm the birth of their daughter themselves.

One wrote: "Looooooooooool how can Jake Paul announce the birth of the baby before Tommy/Molly Mae".

"not Jake Paul announcing that Molly Mae had her baby before she announced it," another said.

A third added: "Jake Paul announcing Molly Mae’s birth before Molly Mae or Tommy is the biggest s**thousery I’ve seen this year".

"Imagine waiting for Molly Mae & Tommy’s announcement of their baby’s arrival and @jakepaul does it for you," another said.

While one user called the move "brutal" as they penned: "No way @jakepaul has announced @tommytntfury and @mollymaehague baby before they have brutal".

Molly-Mae announced she and Tommy Fury were expecting their first child together with an Instagram post in September.

Last week, the Pretty Little Thing creative director confirmed she had reached nine months in her pregnancy as she posted a photo of herself in a white dressing gown looking down at her bump on Instagram.

She penned in the caption: "I really couldn’t have asked my body to provide a better home for the first 9 months of our little girls life… so blessed to say my pregnancy has been a complete and utter dream".

Fans have been waiting in anticipation for the pair to confirm their daughter had arrived, as Molly-Mae has been silent on social media for some days.
