Tommy Fury makes radical change ahead of boxing return against Darren Till

Tommy Fury is set to make a big change in his boxing career when he meets former UFC fighter Darren Till in January.

The 25-year-old is set to return to the ring for the first time in almost 15 months at Manchester’s Co-Op Live on January 18, 2025.

Fury beat KSI by unanimous decision in October 2023, having previously overcome Jake Paul by split decision earlier that year.

Till is a professional MMA fighter who amassed a record of 18-5. Five of his victories came in the UFC, while the 31-year-old won his only boxing bout to date when he beat Mohammad Mutie in an exhibition event in 2021.

The two, who clashed at a chaotic press conference on Tuesday, are scheduled to meet in eight three-minute rounds with 10oz gloves – albeit Till has vowed to kick his opponent “straight in the face” if he’s losing on the scorecards.

Interestingly, Fury has revealed the fight will take place at heavyweight, meaning there is no weight limit for what either fighter can come in at.

Fury’s career-highest weight stands at 189lbs when he fought Jordan Grant in 2021 but the former Love Island star now has the chance to weigh in at 200lbs+.
