Tommy Fury Confirms Darren Till Fight Is OFF
Tommy Fury has taken to social media to confirm that his proposed fight with former UFC star Darren Till is now officially off.
Fury took to Instagram today, confirming that his fight with Till, scheduled for January 18 in Manchester, will not go ahead due to ‘one simple reason’.
The pair were scheduled to meet on January 18th on KSI’s Misfits in a professional boxing bout, but the fight is now no longer. The launch press conference in November was fiery between Till and the half-brother of Tyson Fury, with John Fury also involved in the heated exchange.
Now, Fury has told fans that the fight will simply not go ahead due to Till’s refusal to abide by rules. This is because the former UFC Welterweight Title challenger had threatened to use MMA moves in the ring if he was losing the fight.
Fury has now stated he is looking for a better opponent, and still plans to fight early in the New Year:
“I can’t believe I’m writing this but I am now not fighting Darren Till on January 18th 2025. For the one simple reason being that Darren has stated over and over that he does not want to abide by professional boxing rules and that if he is loosing the fight he will resort to kicking and other stupid MMA tactics.
“I am a professional boxer, I have been out of the ring for over a year and I wanted this to be a great BOXING fight for the fans. I have wasted weeks in training camp. We are working hard to get a new opponent and date. I promise to get a better opponent and better fight for you guys. Good news around the corner,” Fury wrote on Instagram.

Darren Till Responds With Twitter Rant At Fury
With news that his fight with Tommy Fury is now off due to ‘TNT’ pulling out on Friday morning, Darren Till took to social media himself to hit back at the former Love Island star.
Till, who is well known for being outspoken and blunt, didn’t pull any punches in his response to Fury. The 31-year-old posted two videos on his Twitter (X) account, using various expletives to show his frustration that Fury has pulled out of the fight.
Till insisted that he only threatened to kick Fury to help sell tickets and help both fighters earn bigger paydays. Till also insists that he will still fight on January 18 in Manchester, and if it isn’t against Tommy Fury then he will get a replacement opponent.
