Australian teenager Maya Joint has caused a massive boilover at the WTA tournament in Merida, Mexico, toppling world No.20 Donna Vekic to reach the quarter-finals.

The 18-year-old swatted aside the tournament's No.5 seed 6-1 6-2 on Wednesday to register her biggest win of her career.
