It was shared that Bert was hospitalized in July due to cirrhosis, a severe scarring of the liver, caused by his chronic alcoholism. This was his third time entering rehab, but unfortunately, his condition worsened, requiring him to be rushed to the hospital.
Schwartz expressed his shock and concern, stating that he hadn't realized the severity of his brother's situation until now. In a confessional, he reminisced about how his brother used to be like a ray of sunshine, but after being jumped outside a bar, he was never the same. From that point on, Bert started developing a dependency on alcohol.
