Tom Sandoval clarified that he is not suing Ariana Madix, despite initial reports suggesting otherwise. The Bravo star revealed that the lawsuit filed against Madix was done without his full understanding, leading him to reverse course and terminate the lawyer involved in the legal action.
The original lawsuit alleged that Madix breached Sandoval's privacy by accessing his phone during the season 10 finale of Vanderpump Rules. This breach revealed videos of Sandoval cheating on Madix with Raquel Leviss (now known as Rachel), sparking a scandal dubbed 'Scandoval' that captivated Bravo fans for an extended period.
Sandoval's former attorney, Matthew Geragos, explained that the lawsuit was filed in response to Leviss' own suit against Sandoval, which accused him of recording their intimate FaceTime session without her consent.
Sandoval admitted that he had not fully comprehended the legal implications of the motion against Madix and acknowledged his failure to conduct proper due diligence. Consequently, he took to Instagram to announce the removal of Geragos from his legal team and emphasized that he harbors no animosity towards Madix.
He stated, 'In no way am I suing Ariana. The action against Ariana brought on my behalf is being removed. I hold no ill will or vindictiveness toward Ariana. Now, by removing both the cross-complaint and the attorney who recommended it, I hope to expedite this case so that Ariana and I can both move on with our lives.'
Geragos did not respond to requests for comment from The Hollywood Reporter regarding the situation.
