Sir Tom was due to perform a series of UK gigs as he hit his 80th birthday in 2020 but unfortunately, the Covid pandemic meant that this was unable to happen. News of Sir Tom’s return to Cardiff was first announced in February this year.
The new tour will be the Delilah singer's celebration of 60 years in the business. During that time, he has sold over 100 million records, with 36 Top 40 hits in the United Kingdom and 19 in the United States, including It’s Not Unusual, Kiss, What’s New Pussycat, I’ll Never Fall In Love Again and If I Only Knew.
The highest-selling album of Sir Tom’s career, Reload, reached number one in the UK Albums Chart in 1999 and again in 2000, and spawned the huge anthems Mama Told Me Not to Come, Sex Bomb and Burning Down the House. The Pontypridd-born singer has received the best reviews of his career for his more recent albums, including Long Lost Suitcase, Spirit In The Room and Praise & Blame.
