Tom Holland reveals unlikely skills that helped him win over his girlfriend Zendaya

Tom Holland has revealed the unlikely skills that helped him win over his girlfriend and co-star Zendaya.

The 27-year-old started dating the Euphoria star after they began working on Marvel's Spider-Man together and playing each other's love interests.

The pair got closer and went Instagram official on Zendaya's 25th birthday, when Tom shared a sweet snap of the pair with the caption: "My MJ, have the happiest of birthday. Gimme a call when you're up."

Since the, Tom has spoken about his carpentry skills and how fixing a door helped him woo the actress.

“Carpentry is something I just really enjoy,” he told Unilad. “I made my mum’s kitchen table. I made my mum’s office.

"I built all the cupboards in my bedroom. I built a little birdhouse with my granddad, I fixed my girlfriend’s door once really early on in our relationship."

“I was hanging out at her house and her door was broken,” Tom recalled. “I was like, ‘I’m gonna fix that door for you.’ And now we’re in love.”

It comes after sources claimed the pair were getting "serious and permanent".

"They’re both in settling-down mode and are absolutely planning for a real future together," the insider told Us Weekly of Tom, who portrayed Peter Parker, and Zendaya, who played Michelle Jones, aka MJ, in recent Spiderman movies.

At the end of last year, fans theorised that Tom and Zendaya were engaged.

Both trending on the social media platform, Pop Hive, which boasts more than 160,000 followers, seemed to start spiraling rumours.

They Tweeted: "Tom Holland and Zendaya are reportedly engaged!" - attaching a photo of the adorable couple in their now-viral post.

"Tom is gonna be Mr. Zendaya now," replied one excited fan on the post which has now had more than 200,000 'likes' and 30,000 Retweets.

"This is great news. So happy for them," replied another to the entirely unconfirmed news. "Wow such amazing news," Tweeted another.

However, Zendaya's mum shared a cryptic message denying the rumours.

Claire Stoermer took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to warn fans about clickbait in the media, seemingly shutting down theories that her daughter is soon to be hitched.

"Clickbait typically refers to the practice of writing sensationalized or misleading headlines in order to attract clicks on a piece of content.

"It often relies on exaggerating claims or leaving out key information in order to encourage traffic. The term is generally used in a dismissive sense," a quote shared by Claire read.
