Anne Hathaway may be one of the biggest names in the movie industry but it appears she's a fan of UK singers as she crept up on Tom Grennan.
The singer was preparing for his upcoming performance on The Graham Norton Show which airs tonight as the Princess Diaries actress looked on from around the corner.
Ahead of taking to the stage, Tom and his crew were rehearsing for their vocals in the hallway as Anne peeked out from around the corner as a member of his team filmed the interaction.
Tom's manager John shared the adorable footage on his Instagram alongside the caption: "When @annehathaway comes out of actual nowhere to listen to the warm-up and she's not even on the show."
A second clip sees Anne appear from behind a wall before introducing herself to Tom, explaining that she's a fan of his music after listening to him warm up for his single Here.
Anne looked relaxed in a black cardigan and blue denim jeans as she approached Tom before hugging him.
The hitmaker will be appearing on the BBC One talk show alongside Salma Hayek Pinault, Shania Twain, Julianne Moore, Lizzo and Strictly Come Dancing star Johannes Radebe.
His outing comes just one day before Tom goes up against the likes of The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Wet Leg and the Nova Twins for the Best Rock/Alternative Act at the BRITs.
Reflecting on his third consecutive nomination during an appearance on Absolute Radio, he said: "Last year I got nominated for two, this year I'm nominated for one which is amazing.
"I'm in Rock and Alternative category but I'm with some really, really big names and one of my favourite bands are in that category, so just to be next to them is amazing," before adding he loves Arctic Monkeys.
"I'll go and I'll take it in and hopefully one day be able to pick up an award," he said.
Speaking about his latest single, Here, Tom explained: "With what's going on in the world, with so many people struggling, affected financially, by COVID, by loads of different things, it's one of those songs that helps you believe that there is somebody in your life that is going to be there for you in the struggle.
"There's the battle of everything but when it's shared with somebody else, you're doing it together, not just on your own, so that's what it's about: if I'm here for you, then please be here for me."
