Hollywood actor Tom Cruise reportedly has nothing to do with his 16-year-old daughter Suri's life as she applies to start college.
Suri, who is the daughter of Tom with his ex-wife Katie Holmes, is said to to have already been applying to higher education without the help of her dad due to their lack of relationship, writes The Mirror.
Suri, who will celebrate her 17th birthday next month, is considering what she wants to do in the future and going to a fashion college in New York might be on the horizon.
It's thought that the teen's mum Katie is heavily involved in the application process as she helps her daughter to take the next step in her life.
However, Tom has been estranged from his daughter since 2013, one year after he and Katie divorced.
According to The Daily Mail, Suri and Tom are not in contact with each other.
A source said: "Suri does not know her father anymore and she has not spent time with him in a decade. She does not go to see his movies and he has no part in her life."
However, Tom will pay his daughter's tuition costs as agreed in his divorce agreement.
According to their divorce documents, Tom agreed to give Katie $400,000 a month until Suri turns 18.
Tom also said that he will pay for all of Suri's expenses, including "medical, dental, insurance, education, college and other extracurricular costs".
Suri could go on to study fashion in New York and is apparently "leaning towards" studying at Fordham University.
An insider said: "Suri is applying to schools all over the place. [Katie] really does want her to stay in New York so they can be close to each other. Katie takes great pride in her but is also extremely overprotective."
When Katie and Tom's marriage ended, it was reported that Katie had chosen to leave the relationship over fears about raising her daughter as a Scientologist, which is Tom's religion.
A rift was caused between the former couple when Katie decided to leave the religion, and the marriage, and Tom and Suri's relationship has become distant.
Tom and Katie's reps have been contacted for comment.
