Tom Brady yelled at team-mate to shave his beard in heated argument

Tom Brady will, quite clearly, go down as the best quarterback in NFL history. With seven Super Bowl championships in his 23 seasons, Brady is atop of the pedestal when it comes to greatness for what he's achieved in the game.

And whilst it seems like a lifetime ago now, Brady was once joined by arguably the greatest wide receiver of all-time, in what would become one of the greatest regular season teams of all-time.

Randy Moss decided to join the Patriots in 2007 at the age of 30 with many believing the former Minnesota Vikings great to be past his best. This, coming after a disappointing season with the Oakland Raiders. But Moss would go on to have one of the greatest seasons of all-time, setting an NFL record 23 touchdowns and registering 1,493 yards as the Patriots would go on to a 16-0 season - the first team ever to do so.

The Patriots would make it to the Super Bowl, but ultimately fell to the New York Giants, with the famous 'Helmet Catch' seeing them drive up the field to score the game-winning touchdown, scored by Plaxico Burress, thrown by Eli Manning.

But Brady and Moss would have two more excellent seasons together, forming one of the more lethal quarterback-receiver duo's of all-time.

Towards the end though, things fell apart, with both men getting a little petty with one another.

In 2010, CBS's Charlie Casserly reported that there was a locker room altercation between Tom Brady and Randy Moss, where both men commented on each other's appearance.

It stemmed from Moss' displeasure on not being given a new contract by the Patriots, with reports of his attitude changing, to Brady's displeasure.

In one argument after a game, Brady told Moss that he needed to 'shave his beard'. In response, Moss decided to go at Brady's hair, which had been long at the time. Moss told Brady to cut his hair. reportedly stating: "You look like a girl".

Not long after these reports emerged, Moss was traded back to the team that drafted him, the Minnesota Vikings. But he would only last four games after a loss in New England, Moss criticised his teammates and the head coach, as he would be released.

Both Moss and Brady have never spoken about the incident that lead to his departure from New England, and the nature of their relationship to this day is unknown.

Moss retired in 2012 and was a first-ball Hall of Famer and is widely considered the best deep-threat receiver in NFL history.
