NFL legend Tom Brady responded to Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield’s comments about the post-Brady environment in Tampa Bay.
Mayfield said last week that Tampa Bay wanted him to come in and bring joy back to football for the organization. He insinuated that Buccaneers players weren’t having as much fun when Brady was the quarterback.
Brady led Tampa Bay to a Super Bowl victory in his first year with the team in 2020. It was the second championship win in franchise history. Brady made it very clear on Sunday that he measured success by the end result.
“Well, I was gonna say, I thought stressful was not having Super Bowl rings,” said Brady. “So, there was a mindset of a champion that I took to work every day. This wasn’t daycare. If I wanted to have fun, I was gonna go to Disneyland with my kids.”

It’s very clear that Brady took his job seriously, and the proof was in the results on the field for both New England and Tampa Bay. These comments showcase the mindset that made him the greatest quarterback of all time.
