Tom Brady Offers Shedeur Sanders Sage Advice on Whether He Needs Rolls-Royce

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is taking college football by storm this season, and he counts some serious names among his fans, including perhaps the greatest player to ever throw a football: Tom Brady.

On Monday, Shedeur and Deion Sanders, his father and coach of the Buffaloes, appeared on Brady’s Let’s Go! podcast. At the end of the 30-minute show, Brady offered some wisdom for the young signal-caller when asked by Deion whether he should have a new Rolls-Royce.

“Tom, do you think a college kid needs a Phantom? Like, a Rolls-Royce Phantom?” Deion asked.

“It’s not a Phantom,” Shedeur interjected. “It’s a Rolls Royce Cullinan.”

Without hesitation, Brady provided an answer that made the elder Sanders happy.

“I think he needs to get his a– in the film room and spend as much time in there as possible. Less time in the car and more time in the film room,” Brady said, leading to a hearty, “Thank you, Tom!” from Deion.

Of course, Shedeur had some receipts of his own on the matter, saying, “I seen you had one, too, Tom. I seen you.”

“That was just a rental,” Brady countered. “Hey, I had a few bucks in my pocket at that point.”

Good-natured ribbing aside, Brady and Sanders are admirers of one another, something that has been made clear throughout this season. After Saturday’s dramatic win over Colorado State, Sanders said he went into “Brady mode” on the Buffs’ game-tying 98-yard touchdown drive. Brady responded on Instagram, joking, “I just want to go Shedeur mode at some point in my life.”

After CU’s Week 1 upset of TCU, Brady texted Sanders, “Don’t be satisfied.” The Rolls-Royce back-and-forth seems like a strong extension of that message.
