This would be the definition of flipping the field.
The Toledo Rockets were pinned inside their 10 against the Buffalo Bulls in the fourth quarter on Saturday.
On came Jonathon Batzke to take care of the problem.
The redshirt freshman from Cairns, Australia, sent a rocket — yes, Toledo’s nickname is the Rockets, sorry — all the way through the other end zone.
Batzke is credited with a 91-yard punt. However, if you factor he kicked it from his end zone through the other end zone, it traveled more than 100 yards.
Batzke is not your typical redshirt freshman. He served in the Royal Australian Air Force from 2014-21 and was deployed in the Middle East in 2017. He also was selected to represent the RAAF Rugby League team 2019-21.
91-yard punt from Jonathon Batzke. We’ll take that 77-yard net please. 🙌 pic.twitter.com/2KrNLnGTjh

Incredibly, it wasn’t a school record. Brandon Hannum delivered a 92-yarder against Bowling Green in 2001).
