A three-year-old girl was knocked down and killed by a Hermes delivery driver who accidentally reversed over her. Tragic Milliee-Ann Rae McKellar was standing in the blind spot of the Mercedes Sprinter van outside her grandmother’s home when the collision occurred.
The driver entered the cul-de-sac and parked up - with two wheels up on the pavement - to deliver parcels. He returned to his van and started reversing after checking his mirrors and rear camera.
But Milliee was struck by the vehicle and fell to the ground. The driver continued his manoeuvre with both front and back nearside wheels travelling over her. Emergency services were called to the collision in Calne, Wiltshire.
