Todd Cantwell has suggested he was lucky to avoid a nasty injury during his substitute appearance during Rangers' win at Livingston yesterday.
The midfielder was brought onto the field on 78 minutes by manager Philippe Clement. By 84, he was in referee Steven McLean's book after he reacted to the incident in question.
The former Norwich City player was left unhappy after Livi's James Penrice appeared to catch him high on his left leg with the studs of his boot after falling to the ground.
Sharing images of the situation on his Instagram story, Cantwell highlighted that Penrice appeared to raise his leg onto his shin after the defender was bundled over on the touchline. He then provided slow-motion footage.
In the aftermath, Cantwell reacted to Penrice, shoving him back to the turf as he attempted to get him - which resulted in his yellow card.
And the Rangers ace last night took to social media to convey his dismay that VAR didn't look at the incident, suggesting he could've suffered a bad injury.
He said: "For context I got booked here, not even looked at.
"If I didn't pull my leg away we wouldn't be most worried about it not being looked at."
Meanwhile, former Rangers striker Kris Boyd insists that Aberdeen will have no problems gearing themselves up for their next fixture after the international break - because it comes against the Ibrox club.
Barry Robson's men were humiliated 6-0 by Celtic in Glasgow yesterday. It comes just a month after the Dons managed a convincing 3-1 win at Ibrox, which spelled the end of Michael Beale's time at the club.
Boyd told Sky Sports: "On 92 minutes you're 3-0 down, get back on that bus and get back up the road at 3-0. You then in the end up lose another three goals inside seven minutes and it's now six. It's embarrassing.
"We speak about Aberdeen's record off the back of European football. If you say you're a big club, you have to perform in Europe. You have to find a way to do it.
"You can speak about the squad might not be of that level, but there were a few changes out there today, there weren't a few changes against Kilmarnock and they were arguably as bad then as they were today.
"You can look at the fixtures. I'm sure Barry will have absolutely no problem in getting them up for the next game, that's for sure because Rangers are in town. Fact. It's true. For me, that's a sad indictment of the players."
