Todd Boehly is facing yet another busy transfer window as Chelsea head into the World Cup break on the back of four consecutive defeats.
Graham Potter has seen his side be dumped out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of Manchester City this week with the Blues now sat eight points adrift of a Premier League top four spot after defeat to Newcastle on Saturday. Fans are rightfully concerned at what they have seen of Chelsea over the past few weeks despite qualifying top of their Champions League group with an exciting round of 16 tie against Borussia Dortmund to come in the new year.
The Blues will now be out of action until Boxing Day when the Premier League resumes, giving Potter a month to work with those players not heading out to Qatar, including Reece James who continues to recover from injury after the English defender was left out of Garth Southgate's England squad. Boehly will already be planning ways to reinforce Potter's squad despite spending close to £300million in the summer transfer window, with many of his summer signings failing to live up to expectations.
