Todd Boehly has been told that Chelsea will win the Premier League in the next two years if Ivan Toney pens a deal at Stamford Bridge. The 26-year-old striker was heavily linked with an exit from Brentford in the summer following an impressive maiden campaign in the Premier League.
Toney has featured 43 times for the Bees in the top flight, directly contributing towards 27 goals. His impressive displays - and eye-catching penalty-taking style - has reportedly attracted the attention of several clubs while also earning comparisons to Didier Drogba.
According to the Mirror in August, Chelsea were weighing up a bid for Toney as Thomas Tuchel looked to bolster his strike force following the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner. However, the former Blues boss prioritised the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and he was welcomed to Stamford Bridge instead.
