Todd Boehly has released a statement after Chelsea confirmed the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as manager on a two-year deal. The Argentine will take charge at Stamford Bridge on July 1 - signing a contract until 2025.
Pochettino had held positive discussions with the Blues' ownership and hierarchy over the last two months and has now been announced as Graham Potter's permanent successor. Frank Lampard's spell as caretaker manager came to an end on Sunday afternoon after the 1-1 draw against Newcastle.
Lampard won just one game after making a return to the club following Potter's dismissal. Pochettino will hope to help the Blues return to challenging for trophies and qualifying for the Champions League after a poor 2022/23 campaign.

"Mauricio is a world-class coach with an outstanding track record. We are all looking forward to having him on board."
Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, Chelsea’s co-sporting directors, said: "Mauricio’s experience, standards of excellence, leadership qualities and character will serve Chelsea Football Club well as we move forward.
"He is a winning coach, who has worked at the highest levels, in multiple leagues and languages. His ethos, tactical approach and commitment to development all made him the exceptional candidate."
