Arsen Zakharyan has revealed that talks of a move to Chelsea have resumed after a move in the summer collapsed. The 19-year-old wonderkid was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as Todd Boehly looked to bolster the club's midfield options.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Blues submitted a bid for the teenage sensation in August. Speaking to RB Sport, as quoted by SportsKeeda, Zakharyan's agent, Pavel Andreev, confirmed that his client was close to penning a deal with the west Londoners.
It's said Chelsea wanted to activate the Russia International's £12.6million release clause and wrap up a deal quickly. But, the club quickly encountered a number of problems which eventually saw negotiations collapse.
