Todd Boehly must solve Chelsea transfer window dilemma to strengthen Graham Potter project

The World Cup break was much needed for everyone associated with Chelsea Football Club.

For head coach Graham Potter, it is an opportunity to reflect and regroup after an intense few weeks in which results and performances have concerningly declined. And for the players not representing their countries in Qatar, it is a chance to refresh and recover, both physically and mentally.

However, those who will arguably benefit most from the break are the supporters. It's not been an easy year to follow Chelsea, and there is a feeling of fatigue and frustration among large swathes of the fanbase. Perhaps a few weeks away from the match-to-match grind, a little bit of separation, will result in a more positive mindset come December 27 and the visit of Bournemouth.

The January transfer window is also fast approaching – and there are many who feel a signing or two can become a panacea for the problems that arose for Chelsea and Potter. Several targets have already been mooted, such as Christopher Nkunku, while there is an obvious need to find a capable alternative for Reece James, although he is expected back after the World Cup.

As always with the Blues, there is much to debate and discuss, especially given the form of Potter's side prior to the World Cup break and with the January transfer window firmly on the horizon.

So we felt it right to give you, the supporters, an opportunity to ask our chief Chelsea correspondent Adam Newson any question you like about the club.
