The report adds that the new owners have promised the German that he can 'take the lead' on Chelsea’s transfer business in a shift designed to move closer to the Manchester City and Liverpool models.
It's believed that Boehly is keen to narrow the gap between the west Londoners and the Premier League's runaway title contenders. According to The Guardian, Raheem Sterling, Christopher Nkunku, Jonathan David, Darwin Nunez and Ousmane Dembele have already been added to Chelsea's summer wish list.
