Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly's transfer wish of bringing Cristiano Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge could be set to receive a boost following confirmation they had topped their Champions League group.
The 37-year-old has quickly become heavily linked with a move to west London after his antics against Tottenham last week where he refused to come on. After Erik ten Hag dropped him for the 1-1 draw against Graham Potter's side last weekend, Ronaldo returned to United's side on Thursday and got himself back onto the scoresheet in the 3-0 victory over FC Sheriff.
There remains doubts over his future and Chelsea have been tipped to sign the Portugal international with Boehly keen to re-visit his interest that was dismissed by Thomas Tuchel in the summer. However, the American faces a similar issue with Potter as reports have suggested that a number of targets are preferred by the Blues boss.
