Barcelona president Laporta has given fresh comments over midfielder Frenkie De Jong and the doubt over his future before the end of this transfer window.
In quotes reported by Reshad Rahman, Laporta said "Frenkie's our player, and we want him to stay at Barcelona. He wants to stay too".
"With him and his teammates, we have a very powerful midfield. He has offers, but we want him to stay". Both Chelsea and Manchester United are after the 25-year-old's signature, but the player's reported preference is to stay with Barcelona despite their current financial struggles to register all of their new signings.

Laporta also commented about the signing of Marcos Alonso from Chelsea, "We will complete one more signing with an agreement in principle"… and it's gonna be Marcos Alonso soon."
Thomas Tuchel confirmed after Saturday's win that Alonso had asked to leave the club after being linked with an exit all summer after he was left out of the matchday squad.
