Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have continued to implement a new vision at Chelsea since completing their £4.25billion takeover at Stamford Bridge last year. The takeover was followed by Marina Granovskaia, Bruce Buck and Petr Cech all leaving their respective roles.
The Blues spent close to £300million in Boehly's first summer transfer window in charge, bringing in eight new signings including the likes of Raheem Sterling, Wesley Fofana and Kalidou Koulibaly. Graham Potter now has the chance to add players that fit his play style and tactical ideas after inheriting Thomas Tuchel's squad back in September.
Chelsea have altered their focus in the transfer market under Boehly with there being a shift towards investing in talented youngsters from across Europe. David Datro Fofana became the Blues first signing of the January transfer window with Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile expected to become the second new arrival as he edges closer to finalising a £33million move.

A report from the Guardian has detailed how Chelsea’s new approach towards a data-led policy regarding transfers under their new ownership has led to two of their European scouts leaving to leave the club. Following Potter's appointment, the Blues also recruited two other Brighton key members of staff including Kyle Macaulay in a recruitment role and Paul Winstanley as director of global talent and transfers.
Liverpool and Manchester City have benefitted from the departures of two European scouts from Stamford Bridge with Sven Dworaczek returning to Anfield - whilst Leonardo Masieri has accepted a job at City Football Group, Man City’s parent company.
The report adds that Dworaczek and Masieri have both left on good terms as Chelsea attempt to introduce a multi-club model that will see data become more important than traditional scouting methods.
The west London outfit have also hired Christopher Vivell, who was previously at RB Leipzig, as technical director, and have poached Joe Shields from Southampton to be their co-director of recruitment and talent.
The changes are set to continue at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea targeting the addition of a new striker and right wing-back to join the squad, whilst a number of players already at the club could be allowed to leave.
