Chelsea in talks over deal for AC Milan star
Chelsea have reportedly reignited a move for Rafael Leao as Thomas Tuchel looks to sign a forward before the summer transfer window slams shut. The AC Milan winger has been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League lately, with Arsenal said to have once held an interest, too.
Last month, The Telegraph reported that the Portugal international surfaced as an option for Chelsea. Talk of a move to west London cooled, but the Times have now said that the Blues have reignited interest and are currently working on a deal to sign Leao.
The report adds that negotiations began over the weekend, with the possibility of 'one or more' Chelsea players being included in a player-plus-cash swap deal. The Times say that Leao is keen on a move to the Premier League this season.

Fofana alternative shortlisted
Chelsea have shortlisted Brighton defender Adam Webster as a potential alternative to Wesley Fofana, according to the MailOnline. The report states that the Blues have made enquiries about a handful of defenders in case a fee cannot be agreed with Leicester City.
football.london understand that Fofana feels as if the Foxes are trying to price him out of a move by requesting a world-record fee for his services. It's believed that the Frenchman has already agreed personal terms over a move to west London, but Chelsea have seen two offers – with the highest being around £70million – turned down by the Foxes.
Todd Boehly is expected to submit a third bid in the region of £80million and there is growing confidence that it will be accepted by their Premier League rivals.
Morata considered as Aubameyang alternative
Chelsea are said to be building a transfer contingency plan amid growing concerns that a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may fall through. According to Sport, the Blues are weighing up a move for former striker Alvaro Morata, who is now at Atletico Madrid.
The report adds that the 29-year-old has been identified as a potential alternative to the Barcelona talisman. Morata - who sees his contract at the Metropolitano Stadium expire in 2024 - is said to have caught the west Londoners' attention after netting a brace against Getafe on the opening day of the La Liga campaign.
