Manchester City are concerned with the line-up selected by Pep Guardiola to face Wolves.
The Premier League champions will retain their three-point lead over Liverpool in the title race with a win. However, City have been forced to play Fernandinho at centre-back with just three defenders available.
Ruben Dias, John Stones and Kyle Walker have been ruled out of the last few fixtures of the season while Nathan Ake is plagued by an ankle problem, albeit makes the bench. It means, like in Sunday's win over Newcastle, Fernandinho partners Aymeric Laporte in the centre of defence with Joao Cancelo and Olek Zinchenko at full-back.

Guardiola has therefore opted to play two holding midfielders in Rodri and Ilkay Gundogan in an expected 4-2-3-1 formation. Further forward, Kevin De Bruyne is flanked by Raheem Sterling - who scored a brace against Newcastle - and Bernardo Silva with Phil Foden leading the line as a false nine.
It means Riyad Mahrez and Jack Grealish have been ousted - something that City fans have noted. A youth-packed bench includes Cole Palmer, Luke Mbete, Conrad Egan-Riley and Romero Lavia.
They are joined by FA Cup semi-final villain Zack Steffen and Gabriel Jesus, whose agent has confirmed interest from Arsenal following the announcement of Erling Haaland’s imminent arrival. City supporters have expressed their concern with the ‘weakened’ line-up, questioning some of Guardiola’s attacking picks and highlighting their potential defence fragilities on Twitter.
