Large sections of the Chelsea fanbase have endorsed Graham Potter's decision to drop Mason Mount and Conor Gallagher against West Ham. The duo have struggled for form recently so, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek now back from injury, the Blues boss has decided to reshuffle the pack.
The inclusions of the Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Enzo Fernandez and Noni Madueke in the west Londoners' starting lineup have sent supporters into just as much of a frenzy. But, the omissions of Mount and Gallagher have hit the headlines with many claiming that Chelsea's 'title charge starts today'.
But the Blues are in for a tough clash with David Moyes' side, who head into the tie off the back of a hard-fought draw with high-flying Newcastle. Chelsea sit ninth in the Premier League and ten points adrift of the Magpies so Potter will be hoping the introduction of Loftus-Cheek can spark a great run of form.

So, with that being said, football.london has taken a look at some of the best fan reaction to Potter's decision to opt for Loftus-Cheek instead of Mount against West Ham.
@FelixJohnston_ tweeted: "Personally would’ve started Chukwuemeka, but great to see RLC back. He’s always struggled in a pivot, but equally he’s a better option there than either Mount or Gallagher. Hope he cooks."
@CFCMOD_ tweeted: "Potter is cooookinggggggggg what a teammmm."
@advtomiwa tweeted: "MOUNT BENCHED, LETS GO!!!"
@OkeStalyf tweeted: "Finally a good line up. We should win this easily."
@CarefreeLewisG tweeted: "Dare I say im confident?"
@DailyWaterZ tweeted: "Mudryk, Enzo and Felix I’m seeing? Our title charge starts today. Tell @premierleague we are coming."
Potter is a long admirer of Loftus-Cheek and he knows that if he can solve the midfielder's injury then Chelsea will unlock themselves a 'fantastic' players. Speaking in October, the 47-year-old said: "He’s really impressed me, on and off the pitch.
"He’s a very humble guy, he wants to learn, he wants to improve. He’s clearly benefited from game time but, at the same time, the way he’s trained has been really, really good.
"He’s played and it’s allowed him to build his fitness up. He needs a good fitness level to carry that big body of his around the pitch.
"His quality’s there. He’s fantastic on the ball, great physicality, great athlete. I think he’s putting himself into a situation where he’ll be one of the players Gareth will be looking at as an outsider into the squad. But that’s Gareth’s decision."
Potter will be hoping that Loftus-Cheek can establish a formidable partnership with Fernandez at the heart of midfield. The duo look set to complement one other in the middle of the park, though they could do with an anchor behind them to unleash their technical qualities.
