But, the omissions of Mount and Gallagher have hit the headlines with many claiming that Chelsea's 'title charge starts today'.
But the Blues are in for a tough clash with David Moyes' side, who head into the tie off the back of a hard-fought draw with high-flying Newcastle. Chelsea sit ninth in the Premier League and ten points adrift of the Magpies so Potter will be hoping the introduction of Loftus-Cheek can spark a great run of form.
