Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season will begin on “Thursday Night Football” when the Tennessee Titans (3-4) travel to Acrisure Stadium to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3).
Tennessee enters this game off a win in Week 8 and can get back to .500 by beating the Steelers. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh is trying to avoid falling to .500 after dropping their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week.
The Titans are searching for their first win away from Nissan Stadium this season. Tennessee is 0-3 on the road, and 0-4 away from their home turf when you include the London game in Week 6.
Head coach Mike Vrabel and Co. are also looking to exorcise their demons against a Steelers team that has won each of the last four meetings between these franchises.
Sportsbooks have the Steelers favored for this game, but our staff believes it’s the Titans who will win. Now, find out what experts from different media outlets think in our round-up below.

CBS Sports
CBS Sports Week 9 pick
Pete Prisco: Titans 23, Steelers 17 – “Rookie Will Levis was special in his first NFL start, but this is a big challenge against the Steelers defense on the road on a short week. Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett said he will play with a rib injury, but how limited will he be? Their offensive line was awful last week, and that will play true here. Levis will play well enough to lead the Titans to a victory.”

Sporting News’ Week 9 picks
Vinnie Iyer: Steelers 23, Titans 27 – “Will Levis crushed it with downfield passing in his rookie NFL debut at home in Nashville. Pittsburgh’s defense can give up it to wide receivers all over the field. But the issue here will be T.J. Watt and the Steelers’ revved-up pass rush in prime time against a shaky offensive line that faced the pressure-less Falcons in Week 8. The Steelers find a boost for their own wideouts here against beatable corners to get enough offense regardless of who’s at QB for them.”
Bill Bender: Steelers 21, Titans 18 – “Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is out. Rookie Will Levis threw four TDs in Week 8 in a sensational debut that included three scores for DeAndre Hopkins.. Pittsburgh is 2-2 S/U in home games this season, and Kenny Pickett (ribs) might be out on a short week. That means Mitchell Trubisky. Take the under in a low-scoring game.”
