The Tennessee Titans will host the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon in a game that could have a lot of implications for how the rest of the season goes.
The team has already traded safety Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles for a player and future assets, and many believe that other trades could be coming as well, especially if the Titans lose and fall to 2-5.
Fortunately for them, Tennessee is set to play in the one venue in which it’s yet to lose in this season. The Titans’ two wins on the year have come inside Nissan Stadium, with their only home loss occurring in London.
The Titans are a well-rested squad coming off the bye, and history shows that this team is at its best under head coach Mike Vrabel when given extra time to prepare, with Tennessee sporting a 5-0 record coming out of bye weeks during the Vrabel era.

With a win this week, the Titans would tie the Pittsburgh Steelers for the longest active post-bye winning streak at six.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills are also in the running to join the Steelers and possibly the Titans if they’re able to win their sixth straight post-bye contest later this season.
Tennessee needs to find a way to win in the worst possible way come Sunday if it wants to make something of this season. Otherwise, it could be time to realistically start shifting the focus toward the future.
