The Tennessee Titans (7-6) laid a dud against the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-8) as they lost their third consecutive game by a score of 36-22. The three-game skid is Tennessee’s first since 2018.
It was a disastrous afternoon that saw the team waste a 96-yard, first quarter effort by Derrick Henry. Although, even he had his fair share of struggles on the day, and particularly when it came to protecting the football.
In total, the Titans accounted for three first-half turnovers before adding a fourth by game’s end. Jacksonville turned those turnovers into 20 points.
The Titans are still well in control of their own destiny within the division, but it’s hard to see them doing any real damage come playoff time unless things drastically change sooner rather than later.
That is, of course, unless they completely choke the division away, which is unlikely but not completely out of the realm of possibility at this point.
As you can imagine, today’s effort by the Titans did not go over very well on Twitter, or for fans at the game for that matter, as those in attendance audibly voiced their displeasure throughout the day.
Let’s not waste anymore time and dive right into this week’s Twitter reactions.
Talk louder so they hear you in the back #Titans https://t.co/VSlMzRnSsk

The only good thing to come from this game: Chig Okonkwo is legit

Can’t even be mad at Lawrence waiving goodbye to the fans. Our team is trash

It’s the hope that kills you. #Titans

Injuries are obviously part of it, but even the most casual fan could point out this team’s holes before the year, and they still failed to adequately address them.

Someone has to be fired after this, I mean come on

Confidence is an amazing thing and the moment the Titans gave it to the Jags this thing was over.

Geoff Swaim is right up there with Dennis Daley as my least favorite Tennessee Titan
— Josh Reinbold (@JoshReinbold) December 11, 2022
That might have been the worst offensive series I’ve seen from the Titans in a while and that’s saying something.

Beginning to sound uglier than it looks at Nissan #Titans

Todd Downing called a TE screen on 3rd and 27 backed up inside the #Titans 10 yard line.

Todd Downing better be fired on the field after the game

Todd Downing is an abomination.

The Titans, clearly, went the wrong direction at their crossroads
— Austin Stanley (@AustinStanley81) December 11, 2022
Here is your reminder that Todd Downing still has a job with the #Titans and Jon Robinson does not.
— Chad Withrow (@TheChadWithrow) December 11, 2022
These Titans are pathetic
— Mike Herndon (@MikeHerndonNFL) December 11, 2022
And that will do it. #Titans still control their own destiny, but this division is officially up for grabs. Tennessee probably needs to win 2 of their next 3 to avoid making Week 18 in Jacksonville an AFC South championship game.
— Mike Herndon (@MikeHerndonNFL) December 11, 2022
Amy Adams Strunk should fire Todd Downing right now. Go take the headset from him during the game

***Yes the players play the game but J-Rob was a very hands-on type of GM. He would literally run drills with these guys sometimes. Of course it can affect the team mentally.
