When the Tennessee Titans take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16, they are not expected to have Will Levis under center.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Levis is not expected to play due to the ankle injury he suffered against the Houston Texans last week. Veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill will start in his place
Levis did not practice the first two days of the week before getting in a limited session on Friday, so this was to be expected.
The rookie didn’t seem too hampered by the injury, though, and the fact he was not placed on injured reserve means it’s possible we see him again over the final two games.
Tannehill will make his first start since Week 6, when he suffered his own ankle injury that sidelined him multiple games, which paved the way for Levis to get an opportunity to start.
With the 35-year-old set to hit free agency in 2024 and highly unlikely to return, this could very well be the last start of his Titans tenure.
