By all accounts, rookie offensive lineman Peter Skoronski has impressed the Tennessee Titans with his development ahead of his first season in the NFL, and has done so while learning a new position at left guard.
Last month, defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons praised the 2023 first-round pick for the strength he has displayed in practice, which is high praise coming from one of the strongest players in the league.
Buy Titans TicketsMore recently, general manager Ran Carthon lauded Skoronski for the work he’s done, saying the rookie is “who we thought he was going to be” and compared him to a young veteran player.
Skoronski has also impressed his quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, who has dubbed the Northwestern product “Steady Eddie” after watching all the progress and consistency he’s shown during his first offseason.

Safe to say, Skoronski doesn’t mind the nickname.
“It’s not always perfect and definitely some things I’m working on,” he said, per Titans Radio. “But obviously that’s what you try to be as an offensive lineman, just kind of execute your job every play. That’s all you can pretty much do. Just got to be able to do your job so the guys can run and throw back there.”
As promising as Skoronski’s offseason has been, he’s still got to go out there in a real game and prove he can hang. He’ll have his first chance to do so on Sunday, when Tennessee takes on the New Orleans Saints in Week 1.
