Tennessee Titans wide receivers coach Rob Moore revealed on Tuesday that first-round pick Treylon Burks has asthma, which would explain his use of an inhaler and his inability to stay on the practice field for some sessions.
“That’s unfortunate. Some of those things that happen were kind of out of his control,” Moore said, via ESPN’s Turron Davenport. “The kid’s got asthma.
After practice, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said the team was aware of Burks’ medical issue before drafting him and is “very confident” the rookie will be fine.
Burks was absent from practice on Tuesday, but Vrabel wouldn’t say if it was related to his asthma and only noted the rookie was “unavailable.”
So to be clear, the #Titans knew about the asthma issue. Mike Vrabel said they're very confident that Burks will be able to have it worked out. Burks was "unavailable" to practice today. Vrabel wouldn't say whether or not it's asthma related. https://t.co/IEcucLsbOC
