It doesn’t take a genius to see that Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons is, at the very least, on a fast track to becoming one of the best defensive players in the entire league, if he isn’t there already.
Simmons is the type of disruptive defender that even the most casual football fan would be mesmerized by whenever they take the time to watch a Titans game.
The Mississippi State product has been a game-wrecker all year long, and unsurprisingly, he grades out as one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL.
According to Pro Football Focus, The Titans’ star defender currently possesses the fifth-highest pass-rushing grade in the entire league (90.4), along with the eighth-highest overall grade by any defensive player (90.0).

Simmons also ranked among the top of his respective position in pressures (21), sacks (3.5), and hurries (15) going into the bye.

Earlier this month, Next Gen Stats ranked the Titans as the third-best defensive line in football, and Simmons is no doubt the biggest reason why.

Simmons, who will be on the final year of his contract in 2023, is well on his way to earning a well-deserved lucrative contract in the near future.
Barring something dramatic happening, the Mississippi native will continue being the focal point for this tenacious Titans defense for a very long time.
