The Tennessee Titans made a waive of cuts on Tuesday to trim their roster to 53 players. However, they figure to plan some familiar faces back in a practice squad capacity.
One of those players is Isaiah Iton, who The Draft Network’s Justin Melo is reporting that the Titans plan on signing to the practice squad should he clear waivers.

The undrafted free agent signing out of Rutgers showed plenty of potential in camp and preseason, taking advantage of a couple of injuries along the defensive line. Iton notably recorded two tackles and 1.0 sack in the Titans’ preseason Week 2 win against the Seattle Seahawks.
He also collected one tackle in Tennessee’s win in New Orleans in the preseason finale.
Should he clear Wednesday’s noon ET waiver claim deadline, Iton will provide valuable depth on the Titans roster. Head coach Brian Callahan voiced concerns about the depth along the defensive line following Marlon Davidson and TK McLendon’s season-ending injuries.
Tennessee will have Jeffery Simmons, T’Vondre Sweat, Sebastian Joseph-Day, and Keondre Coburn on the active roster. Still, Iton could be plugged in should there be any injury concerns throughout the season.
