With the Mike Vrabel era officially over, the Tennessee Titans will now turn their focus to hiring his replacement and there is already one candidate who is expected to be considered for the job.
According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network, look for the Titans to interview Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator, Brian Callahan.
Callahan, who is the son of former NFL head coach Bill Callahan, has been the Bengals’ OC since 2019. He does not call the plays, as head coach Zac Taylor does that. However, he is heavily involved with game-planning.
Of course, Joe Burrow has turned into one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL since 2020, and Cincy has made two trips to the AFC Championship Game, with one leading to a failed Super Bowl appearance.

The Bengals’ offense played surprisingly well in 2023 after Burrow suffered a season-ending injury and was replaced by rookie Jake Browning, who was very impressive in Cincy’s offense.
Prior to his stint in Cincinnati, Callahan twice served as a quarterbacks coach, spending two years with the Detroit Lions and one with the Raiders.
Just talked with someone in the league about Callahan and wanted to add perspective on what seems to be a good possible candidate for the #Titans… https://t.co/Iohfp3Woi5 pic.twitter.com/7DB6utxvTs

Thanks to his experience both working with and having success with young quarterbacks, it makes sense for Callahan to be on the Titans’ radar.
