The Tennessee Titans announced a pair of practice squad elevations for the Week 9 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The team will elevate quarterback Logan Woodside and defensive lineman Larrell Murchison for the contest. This is the second straight week both players have been elevated.
Woodside served as Malik Willis’ backup in Week 8 against the Houston Texans when Ryan Tannehill was ruled out, and he’ll serve in the same role should Tannehill not play in Week 9.
The latest report on Tannehill is that he’s trying all he can to suit up, but his status remains up in the air, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
#Titans QB Ryan Tannehill, listed as questionable with ankle, is doing everything he can to play, source said. He may take it up to game-time. But there is a real chance it's rookie Malik Willis for the second straight week if Tannehill isn't 100%.

A 2020 fifth-round pick, Murchison played seven snaps in Week 8 and was fairly effective, tallying the third-highest Pro Football Focus grade on defense and notching one pressure.
The Titans (5-2) and Chiefs (5-2) will meet at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 9 on “Sunday Night Football”, with kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. EDT.
