Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry was the subject of trade rumors and speculation during the offseason, and speculation has begun to ramp up ahead of the Oct. 31 trade deadline with the team sitting at 2-4.
And that speculation has picked up even more after the Titans dealt Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, something Henry touched on during his media availability on Tuesday.
“I think he’s one of the greatest Titans to play,” he said of Byard, according to Nick Suss of of The Tennessean. “I think his play and what he’s done in the community and how he treats everybody in the building and around here, I think it speaks for itself.”
“Kevin, that’s my brother for life, whether he’s here or somewhere else,” Henry added, per Titans Radio.
As far as the idea of him possibly being traded is concerned, Henry is just focusing on what he can control, which for now involves preparing for a game against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8.
“Until I’m told different, I’m focused on winning and beating the Falcons,” Henry said. “I’m here at work ready to go practice and focus on beating the Falcons.”
