The Tennessee Titans made a pair of roster moves on Wednesday, one of which included the signing of defensive lineman Michael Dwumfour.
To make room for Dwumfour, the Titans waived outside linebacker Zach McCloud, the team announced.
A former undrafted free-agent signing of the New York Jets in 2021, the Rutgers product has appeared in 12 games (one start) during his career, 10 coming with the Houston Texans and two with the San Francisco 49ers, which gives him the Ran Carthon connection.
In 2022, Dwumfour played in seven contests with the Texans before being waived. He was then added to the 49ers’ practice squad and took part in two games for San Fran. In total, Dwumfour had eight tackles, three QB hits and one fumble recovery over nine games last season.
Dwumfour is the second defensive lineman the Titans have inked this week, with the team also bringing back veteran Kyle Peko. The Titans recently lost UDFA Shakel Brown for the season and fellow lineman Naquan Jones has missed several practices in a row.
